Statement about your relation with Yamaha or your instrument:
From the very beginning, my relationship with my instrument has been love at first sight. As I have got to know it better, this bond has grown stronger, allowing me to discover its full potential.
How does your instrument help you in your daily life as an artist?
This saxophone offers me 100% of what I can demand from my work tool. It gives me the necessary security and the ability to express myself musically in any situation, covering all kinds of repertoire.
How would you characterise your instrument?
I particularly emphasise two characteristics that I consider fundamental. Firstly, the sound, which I feel defines me as a performer. Secondly, the balance and ease that the instrument offers me, allowing me to develop without limitations as a musician.
Who was your most influential teacher and is there any advice which you still follow?
It is difficult to pinpoint a single source of inspiration. I consider myself fortunate to be surrounded by people from whom I learn every day and with whom I share experiences that go beyond music. They are the ones who have profoundly influenced my development, both professionally and personally, completing who I am today as a musician.
Advice for a young musician:
My advice: enjoy the process. Dedicating ourselves to music is a gift we give ourselves. We should feel fortunate and take advantage of every step, every experience, because they are the ones that, without realising it, nurture us and form us in this beautiful profession.
