Statement about your relation with Yamaha or your instrument:

I am very happy to play on Yamaha instruments and respresent Yamaha as a Yamaha Artist.

How does your instrument help you in your daily life as an artist?

The soprano saxophone plays a key role in my process of composing, recording and performing music. This instrument is not only incredibly inspiring, but its exceptional quality and durability ensure that I can always rely on it.

How would you characterise your instrument?

The instrument offers a beautiful, deep sound, an impressive dynamic range, tonal flexibility, fantastic mechanics, and exceptional intonation stability. When I played the YSS-82ZR for the first time, I realized it had something remarkable in its sound that reminded me of the saxophonists I have loved listening to since childhood.

Who was your most influential teacher and is there any advice which you still follow?

Throughout every stage of my education, I encountered many people who helped and supported me in my musical development. Interestingly, some of them were not teachers or professors, but friends or family members. The first, and in many ways the most important, was my brother, a trumpet player, who introduced me to the saxophone, jazz, and the music community. We used to listen to music together and discuss improvisation, different musical approaches, artists, composition, and more. One of the best pieces of advice he gave me was that the most essential part of playing music is listening to your fellow musicians on stage, sharing emotions, and dreaming about what you want your future to look like.

Advice for a young musician:

Always pursue what you genuinely enjoy and feel passionate about musically. Don’t be afraid to try new things and experiment—there is no right or wrong way. The most important thing is to stimulate your creativity by stepping out of your comfort zone.
